- Boot-time filesystem checks
- Root now boots read-only so systemd can check the filesystem before remounting read-write, and the boot partition is checked before mounting. Upgrades migrate /etc/fstab while preserving customizations.
- Swapfile creation is now baked into the image build rather than running on the device during first boot.
